Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow in late April to June 1–2 cm deep in the bed, or in April in pots, and plant out 40–50 cm apart. Seedlings emerge in 5–8 days.
Care Frost-hardy and grows well in sun or partial shade. Water evenly and protect from cabbage white caterpillars with a fleece cover.
Harvest Pick the lower leaves continuously from late summer; the leaves turn sweeter after the first frosts and the plants keep cropping into winter.
