About this product
Greenhouse film, 2.4 x 5 m — for a small home greenhouse or tunnel. Under film the daytime temperature rises several degrees and the night temperature falls more slowly: that difference decides whether tomatoes ripen in our summer or not.
The second job of film is as a rain roof. Tomato blight (Phytophthora infestans) needs a wet leaf to spread; under cover the leaf stays dry and the disease stays away even when the neighbour’s outdoor plants have already blackened.
The roll covers a tunnel up to 5 metres long, or one side of a greenhouse. Producer Baltic Agro, Estonia.

Advice from our agronomist
Stretch the film tight over the frame: a sag collects rainwater, and water tears the film at the first wind.
Fix the edges with a batten rather than individual nails — a nail hole is where a tear starts.
Stretch it on a warm day: in the cold the material stretches less and sags later.
Ventilate every day. A closed greenhouse goes over 40 degrees in sun, pollination stops and stagnant damp brings disease.
Take the film down in autumn, clean it and store it rolled in the dry — winter snow load breaks the frame along with the film.
