Expanded clay pebbles, 25 l, Baltic Agro

About this product
Expanded clay pebbles — a light natural material of fired clay used as drainage at the bottom of a pot. The layer carries surplus water away from the roots and leaves them oxygen — the lack of which is the usual reason house plants rot.
The same material works as a decorative top dressing: it evens out soil moisture, keeps the surface clean and discourages insects. It contains no harmful compounds and neither moulds nor rots.
Pack of 25 l. Made by Baltic Agro, produced in Estonia.

Advice from our agronomist
A 2-3 cm layer at the bottom. Put 2-3 cm of pebbles into an empty pot or balcony box and fill up with potting soil.
Separate the layers. To stop the pebbles mixing with soil, a piece of cover fabric can go between them.
A layer on top. Pebbles spread over the soil surface cut evaporation and stop fungus gnats laying eggs in the top layer.
