About this product
In spring a lawn needs a fertiliser higher in nitrogen to pick it up and push growth. After winter the grass is pale and thin, and it is nitrogen that gives the deep green a good lawn is known by.
The right amount of nutrient makes the turf denser and more resistant to drought and weeds. Dense turf is the best weed control there is: dandelion and plantain simply have nowhere to sit.
Feeding can start once the grass is growing and continue to midsummer, once or twice in all.

Spread on dry grass and water in at once — a granule left on a wet blade burns yellow spots.
Spread evenly: a striped lawn always comes from uneven spreading, not from the fertiliser.
Feed after mowing, not before.
Do not use a spring feed in autumn: late nitrogen pushes growth and the lawn goes into winter weak. Autumn has its own fertiliser.
If the lawn is mossy, feeding alone will not fix it — moss comes from acidity and compaction, and that needs liming and aeration.
