Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in a sunny spot in free-draining, preferably light soil. Heavy soil that stays wet in winter is not suitable.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting and during dry spells in the first summer. Needs little feeding – rich soil makes the stems flop.
Care. Deadheading prolongs flowering. Taller stems can lean on neighbouring plants or be given supports.
Winter. Overwinters outdoors in well-drained soil. Cut back old stems in spring.
