Advice from our agronomist
Use. For cutting weeds, breaking soil crust, loosening and earthing up potatoes and vegetables.
How to use. Hold the blade almost parallel to the surface and pull it towards you 1–3 cm deep to cut weeds off at the root collar.
Care and storage. Clean the blade after use and store in a dry place. A sharp blade makes work easier — file it a few times per season.
Gardener’s tip. Weed in dry weather while weeds are young: cut plants dry out quickly in the sun and do not re-root.
