Advice from our agronomist
Use. For moving and loading sand, gravel, compost, soil and other loose materials.
How to use. Push the blade into the soil, press the top edge down with your foot and pull the shaft back towards you. Lift only as much soil as is comfortable to protect your back.
Care and storage. Clean the soil off the blade after use, let it dry and store it in a dry place. Before winter, wipe a thin layer of oil on the metal to prevent rust.
Gardener’s tip. Dig when the soil is moist but not wet — the work is easier and the soil structure is not damaged.
