Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in full sun in light, alkaline or neutral, very free-draining soil. Heavy wet soil is fatal.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting; established plants are drought tolerant. Hardly needs feeding.
Care. Trim off spent flowers after flowering and shape in spring, without cutting into old wood.
Winter. Wet soil is a bigger threat than frost; in snowless frost cover with conifer branches.
