Brass buttons (Leptinella squalida), 9 cm pot – a low, mat-forming perennial with fine, fern-like foliage. Buy Leptinella squalida (brass buttons) plants in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
Native to New Zealand. The green, often bronze-tinged, finely divided leaves cover the ground evenly, and in summer small yellowish-white button flowers appear above the foliage. Supplied in a 9 cm pot (P9).
Ideal for rock gardens, gaps between paving, path edges and as ground cover between low perennials – a good choice for gardeners looking for a small, low-maintenance perennial.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant from spring to autumn in sun or partial shade in light, free-draining soil. For ground cover space plants about 20–25 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting and in dry spells; it dislikes both long drought and standing water. Needs little feeding – a thin layer of compost in spring is enough.
Care. The mat thickens by itself. Overgrown edges can be cut off with a spade and the pieces replanted elsewhere.
Winter. Overwinters outdoors. In snowless frost cover lightly with conifer branches.
