About this product
Tulip tree Liriodendron tulipifera is a large, fast-growing deciduous tree with unusual four-lobed leaves that turn golden yellow in autumn. Mature trees flower in June with tulip-shaped greenish-yellow blooms marked with orange. Buy a tulip tree for a large garden with room for a big specimen.
It prefers sun and deep, fertile, moderately moist soil and dislikes compacted or long-wet ground. In Estonia plant it in a wind-sheltered place and mulch the root zone of a young tree in its first winter.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in sun or light shade, in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a hole about twice as wide as the root ball, set the plant at the same depth as in the pot and water well.
Care Water regularly in the first season, later only in long dry spells. Mulch the root zone with bark or leaf compost and in spring remove frost-damaged, old and crowded shoots.
Use Large gardens and parks, specimen tree and autumn colour.
