Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Needs maximum light: a south window or grow lamp. In shade the plant stretches and loses its characteristic shape.
Watering Lithops keep a reversed rhythm compared with most plants. Water only from late summer to autumn (August–November) when the plant grows and flowers. In winter and spring, while the old leaf pair dries and is replaced, do not water at all.
Humidity and care Use a very mineral mix (cactus soil with sand, grit or perlite) and a shallow pot. Air humidity is not important.
Feeding and repotting Feed rarely – once in the growing season with a weak cactus fertiliser if needed. Repot only occasionally, in spring before the watering season.
