Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow the seeds in February–March onto the surface, uncovered. Keep the temperature at 18–22 °C; seedlings emerge in 10–14 days. Prick out at 2–3 true leaves and plant out in May–June, 25–30 cm apart.
Care Keep the soil lightly moist and avoid waterlogging. Pinch young shoots to encourage branching; remove spent flower spikes.
Use Beds, edging and cutting; taller cultivars need support.
