About this product
Magnolia Magnolia Susan is a shrubby hybrid whose deep pink-purple flowers open in spring before the leaves. It flowers fairly late, so frost damages the blooms less often. A good buy for spring colour in a small garden.
It prefers sun or light part shade and slightly acidic, humus-rich, moderately moist soil, and dislikes lime or wet ground. Plant it in a wind-sheltered spot and mulch to keep the soil from drying out.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in sun or light shade, in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a hole about twice as wide as the root ball, set the plant at the same depth as in the pot and water well.
Care Water regularly in the first season, later only in long dry spells. Mulch the root zone with bark or leaf compost and in spring remove frost-damaged, old and crowded shoots.
Use Specimen in a small garden, spring accent and shrub groups.
