Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in spring in a large container or in a warm sheltered sunny spot. The soil should be light, fertile and well drained; add a drainage layer at the bottom of a container.
Care. Mulch with bark and remove weeds. Repot a container plant every 2–3 years into a larger pot.
Watering and feeding. Water moderately and regularly without letting water stand. From spring to midsummer feed with a balanced fruit fertiliser.
Winter care and pruning. Move the container to a bright cool frost-free room for winter, or protect a plant in the ground thoroughly. Prune in late winter: remove weak and broken shoots and lightly shape the bush.
