Radish "Japana H" (Raphanus sativus) is a mid-early hybrid with large, white, mild-flavoured roots. The roots of "Japana H" grow 35–40 cm long and mature 70–85 days after sowing.
The radish is used fresh and is suitable for longer storage. According to the supplier calendar, seeds are sown outdoors in July and the crop is harvested in September–October.

Sowing. Sow seeds in July 2–3 cm deep in deeply cultivated, stone-free soil, 15–20 cm between plants and 30–40 cm between rows. For long roots the soil must be loose to depth.
Care. Thin the seedlings in good time and keep the bed weed-free. Cover young plants with fleece when pest pressure is high.
Watering and feeding. Water evenly, especially in dry spells, so the roots neither turn pithy nor split. Deep, even moisture gives a juicy flavour; avoid fresh manure.
Harvest and storage. Harvest in September–October before hard frosts and store in a cool, humid place, for example in sand in a cellar.
