Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Needs bright indirect light, an east or west window suits; without enough light no pitchers form. Grow it hanging.
Watering Water only with soft water (rain, distilled or reverse osmosis); tap water harms it. Keep the soil constantly lightly moist but not wet.
Humidity and care Needs high air humidity (60–80 %) – mist or use a humidifier. Do not pour fertiliser into the pitchers or feed them meat; the plant catches insects itself.
Feeding and repotting No soil fertiliser needed; use a peat and perlite mix or sphagnum. If necessary mist the leaves once a month with a very weak orchid fertiliser. Repot only when roots fill the pot.
