Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot with well-drained soil; wet soil is unsuitable. Space plants 30–50 cm apart (up to 60 cm for tall cultivars).
Watering Water in the first year; later the plant is drought tolerant.
Pruning After the first flush (July) cut the plant back by half for a repeat bloom until autumn; remove old dry growth in spring.
Feeding and winter care No feeding is needed; too much food makes the plant floppy. Hardy; no cover is needed.
