Advice from our agronomist
Installation. Press the legs of the obelisk firmly and deeply into the soil, preferably moist and loose, and check that it stands upright. In an exposed windy spot push the legs in deeper.
Suitable plants. Plant the climbers around the obelisk and guide the shoots gently onto the frame. Good choices are sweet pea, clematis, climbing beans and cucumbers.
Care. Wipe the obelisk with a damp cloth when needed. Check from time to time that fixings and legs are firm and that plants are not overloading the support.
Winter storage. In autumn remove dried plant remains and move the obelisk to a dry place so the metal does not rust. Store dry and protected from moisture.
