Advice from our agronomist
Light and position Needs bright indirect light; midday sun can scorch the leaves. Leaves and flowers turn towards the light and close at night.
Watering Water when the top of the soil has dried; keep it lightly moist but not wet. During dormancy (when the leaves die back) water very little.
Humidity and care If the leaves die back the plant is dormant – cut them off, keep cool and water rarely; new leaves appear within a few weeks.
Feeding and repotting Feed every 2–4 weeks in the growing season with a flowering-plant fertiliser at half strength. Repot the tubers in spring when the pot is full.
