Par preci
Sweet pepper "Andromeda" (Capsicum annuum) is an unusual sweet pepper: young fruits are almost black and turn red when ripe. It suits a greenhouse, a warm balcony or a sunny bed.
Fruits are large, cube-shaped and thick-walled (up to about 300 g, wall 4–5 mm, according to the seed supplier). The plant is medium to tall and the crop ripens from July to September.
Pepper loves warmth: sow seed in February–March at 21–25 °C and plant seedlings out after the last frost in a greenhouse or a sunny, sheltered spot.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Sowing and planting. Sow seed in February–March in light seed compost at 21–25 °C; germination can take up to 3–4 weeks. Plant out in a greenhouse or warm spot after the last frost, usually early June, in a pot of at least 5–10 l.
Care. Choose a sunny, wind-sheltered position. Stake taller plants and remove the first flower bud so the plant gains strength before the first crop.
Watering and feeding. Water evenly with warm water, avoiding both drying out and waterlogging. Feed every 2 weeks during flowering with a potassium-rich tomato or pepper fertiliser.
Harvest and winter. Pick ripe fruits to encourage new ones. Pepper is grown as an annual and does not overwinter outdoors; clear plant debris in autumn and save seed for next year.
