Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in a sunny south- or west-facing spot in sandy or stony, well-drained soil, 20–25 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Water only after planting and during long droughts. No feeding is needed – rich soil makes the plant floppy.
Care. Trim lightly after the first flush of flowers to keep it compact and encourage more blooms. It may self-seed gently.
Gardener's tip. Perfect between paving stones and in dry-stone walls, where the crown stays dry and warm.
