About this product
Garden phlox (Phlox paniculata) 'Adessa Orange' is a compact variety from the Adessa series with fragrant salmon-orange flowers and a pink-lilac eye, held in dense heads. Buy Phlox 'Adessa Orange' in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
Height 50–60 cm, spread about 50 cm. Flowers from July to September, and into October in a warm autumn. The lance-shaped green leaves resist powdery mildew; deadheading extends the display.
Ideal for the front and middle of borders, for containers and cutting, and attracts butterflies and bumblebees. Fully hardy (USDA zone 4, about −34 °C) – overwinters in Estonia without protection.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in spring or late summer in sun or light shade, in fertile soil enriched with compost, 40–50 cm apart. Do not bury the crown.
Watering and feeding. Phlox likes even moisture – watering in July and August matters most; water at the base, not over the leaves. Add compost or a slow-release fertiliser in spring.
Care. Remove spent flower heads to encourage new buds. Cut stems back in late autumn or early spring. Mulch keeps the soil moist in hot weather.
Gardener's tip. Good air flow around the clump is the best defence against powdery mildew: do not plant phlox tight against a wall or other plants.
