Moss phlox (creeping phlox) Phlox subulata Oakington Blue Eyes – lavender-blue star-shaped flowers.
A low evergreen mat-forming perennial that covers itself densely with flowers in spring. Suitable for rock gardens, walls and borders; flowers profusely and brightens the garden in spring.
Sold as a container-grown plant; it can be planted throughout the growing season.

Planting Plant in spring or September in a sunny spot in well-drained, rather dry, slightly alkaline soil; space plants 25–30 cm apart.
Watering Water in dry spells; the soil should be lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Pruning After flowering trim the plant back by about a third to keep the mat dense and encourage fresh growth.
Feeding and winter care Feed lightly in spring with a balanced fertiliser; too much reduces flowering. Flowers from May to June; height 5–15 cm. The plant is hardy and needs no winter protection.
