About this product
Ninebark "Little Leena" (Physocarpus opulifolius) is a compact cultivar with golden-yellow spring foliage that takes on orange-red tones towards autumn.
The bush is low and dense, about 1 m tall, and in June it carries white, slightly pink corymbs. It suits small gardens, mixed borders and containers.
The plant is hardy, undemanding as to soil and tolerates pruning well. The foliage colours best in a sunny position.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with well-drained soil. Dig the hole twice as wide as the root ball and keep the root collar level with the ground.
Care. Mulch around the base with bark or compost, 5–7 cm deep, to hold moisture and suppress weeds.
Watering and feeding. Water regularly in the first season, afterwards only in dry weather. In spring apply a balanced fertiliser for ornamental shrubs.
Winter and pruning. The plant overwinters without cover. Prune in early spring: remove frost-damaged and crowded shoots and shape the bush if you wish.
