Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a partly shaded spot with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil; hot sun and dryness harm the plant. Set the rosette level with the soil and water. Space plants 20–30 cm apart.
Watering Water regularly to keep the soil constantly moist, especially in dry spells and during flowering. Mulch the soil.
Pruning Remove faded flowers and dead leaves; divide a dense clump after flowering every 3–4 years.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with compost or a liquid fertiliser for flowering plants. Hardy; in autumn cover the rosette with light mulch or leaves.
