Planting. Position: sun to part shade. Soil: moist, never allowed to dry out. Plant in spring or early autumn at the same depth it grew in the pot, then water in well.
Care. Never let the soil dry out; water often. A balanced fertiliser can be given in spring; remove spent flower stems.
Winter. Grown outdoors in our climate; mulching around the plant for the first winter is helpful.
