Advice from our agronomist

Light and position Needs bright indirect light; direct sun scorches the stems. Unlike desert cacti it grows naturally on tree branches in part shade.

Watering Water when the top layer of soil has dried; keep it lightly moist but not wet and let excess drain. Water less in winter.

Humidity and care Prefers moderately high humidity – mist the stems now and then. Use a light, fast-draining mix (cactus or orchid soil).

Feeding and repotting Feed monthly in the growing season with a cactus fertiliser at half strength; not in winter. Repot only when the pot is full of roots.
