The berries are medium-sized and greenish-yellow, thin-skinned, sweet with a hint of apricot – good to eat straight from the bush. They ripen in mid-July; the bush crops heavily and is self-fertile.
The bush grows about 0.8–1.2 m tall with a spreading habit. It shows good resistance to American gooseberry mildew and is very winter-hardy, well suited to Estonian gardens.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot, 1.2–1.5 m between bushes. Add compost to the hole and plant 5 cm deeper than in the pot.
Watering and feeding. Water in dry spells, especially while the berries swell. In spring give compost or a berry fertiliser; in the second half of summer use only potassium and phosphorus.
Care. Prune in early spring: remove branches older than 4–5 years, those lying on the ground and those growing into the centre, keeping 8–12 strong shoots of different ages. An open bush stays healthier and is easier to pick.
Gardener's tip. Yellow berries are sweetest when fully ripened on the bush – that is when the apricot aroma appears. A mulch under the bush keeps moisture in and weeds down.
