Trailing lobelia red "Cascade" (Lobelia pendula, also Lobelia erinus) is an annual trailing flower blooming from June to September with masses of small red flowers.
Stems reach about 30 cm and flowers are 0.5–1 cm across. "Cascade" is ideal for hanging baskets, balcony boxes, pots and edging.
The packet holds 0.1 g of seed (Kurzemes sēklas). The seed is very fine; sow in spring in a greenhouse or on a windowsill and plant out in May–June.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Sowing. Sow in March–April under cover on moist, loose seed compost and do not cover the seed (it germinates in light). Keep at 20–22 C under film or glass.
Pricking out. When seedlings are large enough, prick them out in small clumps of 3–5 plants per pot, then grow on in a cooler, bright place.
Planting out and watering. Plant out in May–June after the last frost in hanging baskets, balcony boxes or borders, 10–15 cm apart. Keep the compost evenly moist without waterlogging.
Feeding and care. Feed every 2 weeks with a liquid flower fertiliser while blooming. After the first flush, trim plants back by about a third to encourage a second flowering.
