Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny to part-shade spot in moist, humus-rich soil; dry soil is unsuitable. Space plants 60–80 cm apart.
Watering Keep the soil constantly moist; water generously in dry spells and mulch.
Pruning Cut dry stems back in autumn or early spring; old foliage protects the plant in winter.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with compost or a slow-release fertiliser. Hardy; cover a young plant with a light mulch layer in its first winter.
