About this product

Roses flower for a long time and eat accordingly, but feeding them is fiddly: granules scattered on the surface sit waiting for rain, and you cannot dig them in — the roots are right beneath the surface.

A stick solves it: push it into the soil and forget it. The nutrients are slow-release and come out gradually, so one stick feeds the plant for months rather than a week.

The blend is made for roses: enough potassium for the shoots to ripen and come through winter, not just nitrogen for leaves.

Advice from our agronomist

Push the sticks in evenly around the bush, not all in one place, and water afterwards.
Do not feed roses after the end of July: late nitrogen leaves the shoots unripened and the bush goes into winter vulnerable.
Do not put a stick against the crown — leave at least ten centimetres.
Cut spent blooms back to the first five-leaflet leaf: that is where the new flowering shoot comes from.
Roses want sun and air: in a crowded planting with still air, mildew arrives long before any nutrient shortage.
