About this product

Rose "Queen of Sweden" is an English rose bred by David Austin (2004). Buy rose "Queen of Sweden" in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.

The cupped double flowers open soft apricot-pink and fade to pale pink, with a light myrrh fragrance. The bush is upright and repeat-flowers all summer.

Ideal for borders, group planting and low hedges; the blooms are lovely as cut flowers too.

Advice from our agronomist

Planting. Plant the rose in a sunny spot sheltered from wind, in deep, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Set the graft union 3–5 cm below the surface; container plants can be planted from spring to autumn.

Watering and feeding. Water deeply but not too often, at the base rather than on the leaves. Feed with rose fertiliser in spring and early summer and stop nitrogen from August.

Care. In spring cut out frost-damaged and weak shoots. Deadhead spent flowers during the season to encourage new blooms and check the leaves for disease.

Overwintering. In late autumn earth up the base of the bush to 15–20 cm and cover with spruce branches or fleece. Remove the cover in spring once hard frosts are over.
