Apie prekę
The shrub rose Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue' is known as one of the bluest roses available. Buy it in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery and add a rare violet-blue shade to your garden.
Clusters of semi-double, cupped flowers open purple-magenta and fade to slate-blue, with golden stamens in the centre. The blooms are fragrant and the rose repeat-flowers from July to October. It holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit and was the UK Rose of the Year in 2003.
The shrub is upright and vigorous, 1.2–1.5 m tall and up to 1 m wide. Hardiness is RHS H6 (about −20 °C); in Estonia it is worth mounding soil around the base for winter.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant in a sunny, airy spot in fertile soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure. Set the graft union 3–5 cm below the surface; space plants 70–80 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Water deeply but not too often, especially in the first summer and in drought, and avoid wetting the leaves. Feed with rose fertiliser in spring and after the first flush; stop nitrogen from August.
Care. In spring, after the frosts, remove frozen and weak shoots and cut strong ones back by about a third. Deadhead to encourage new flowers. In late autumn mound 15–20 cm of soil around the base.
Gardener's tip. The blue tone shows best on overcast days and in light afternoon shade – pair this rose with silver-leaved plants or white perennials.
