Planting Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot in fertile, well-drained soil. Space plants 40–60 cm apart.

Pruning Cut dry stems back in autumn or early spring; old foliage protects the plant in winter.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring with compost or a slow-release fertiliser. Hardy; no extra cover is needed.
