Burnet (Sanguisorba) Sanguisorba Beetlewings – a Sanguisorba cultivar that flowers in the second half of summer with long flower spikes.
A moisture-loving perennial with long bottlebrush-like flower spikes. Suits moist sunny or partly shaded borders, naturalistic gardens and cut flowers; flowers in mid to late summer.
Sold as a container-grown plant (15 cm pot); it can be planted throughout the growing season.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in spring (May) or autumn in a sunny or partly shaded spot with moist, fertile soil. Mix the soil with compost, set the crown level with the soil and water generously. Space plants 40–60 cm apart.
Watering Water regularly, especially in dry spells; the soil should stay moist. Mulch the soil.
Pruning Taller cultivars may need support; cut stems near the ground in autumn or spring. Divide the clump in spring every 4–5 years.
