Salad burnet (Sanguisorba minor), 9 cm pot is an easy perennial and culinary herb whose young leaves have a fresh cucumber-like flavour. Buy salad burnet plants in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
It forms rosettes of pinnate, toothed leaves; in summer stems rise with small globular greenish-red flower heads. Supplied in a 9 cm pot.
Use the fresh leaves in salads, sandwiches, cold sauces and drinks. Good for herb beds, wildlife gardens and drier spots.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in full sun in light, well-drained, preferably limy soil, 25–30 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Once established it tolerates drought; water during the first weeks and long dry spells. Needs little feeding.
Care. Remove flower stems to get more tender young leaves. Pick leaves from spring to autumn.
Overwintering. Fully hardy, needs no winter protection in Estonia.
