About this product
White stonecrop "Leuchtfeuer" (Sedum album) is a low ground-covering succulent whose fleshy leaves turn bright reddish-pink in spring and in cold weather – the German name means “beacon fire”. Buy Sedum album "Leuchtfeuer" in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
It grows to about 10 cm, spreads vigorously and forms a dense mat. In summer the shoot tips are yellowish and the flowers are white and star-shaped.
Ideal for rock gardens, gravel strips along a south, east or west-facing wall, containers and border edges. An easy perennial for a colourful ground cover in a dry, sunny spot.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant in full sun in light sandy or gritty soil. Next to a house wall, a south, east or west side works best.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting until established, later only in long droughts. No feeding needed – lean soil gives brighter foliage colour.
Care. Trim the edges if the mat spreads too far. Propagates easily from shoot pieces simply pressed onto the soil.
Winter. Overwinters without cover. Winter wet is the main danger, so good drainage is essential.
