Stonecrop (Sedum) is an undemanding succulent perennial whose fleshy leaves store water and bring colour to dry garden spots. The plant in the photo forms a low mat of red-orange foliage; the exact cultivar is not specified.
It suits rock gardens, green roofs, containers, retaining walls and ground cover in dry places. It usually blooms in late summer with small star-shaped flowers that attract bees and butterflies.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny spot, 25–30 cm apart. The soil must drain well; improve heavy clay with sand or grit.
Care. Remove dead flower heads and trim back overgrown stems if needed. Plants divide easily and root from cuttings.
Watering and feeding. Water only in the first season and during long dry spells. No feeding is needed, as too much nitrogen makes the plant floppy.
Winter. Hardy and overwinters without cover. Avoid winter waterlogging, which is more dangerous than frost. Keep containers fairly dry in winter.
