Prosperplast bulb basket, large is a Ø 31.5 cm plastic planting basket for flower bulbs. The basket goes into the ground together with the bulbs, and after flowering you simply lift it out – the bulbs stay undamaged and all in one place. The mesh base and sides let water and air through, so bulbs do not rot and roots grow freely. The basket helps protect bulbs from voles and moles and keeps different varieties apart in the bed – no more digging up tulip bulbs by accident in spring.
The shallow (6 cm) baskets are stackable and easy to store. Suitable for tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, lilies and gladioli, and for storing and drying bulbs between seasons.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Dig a hole in the bed as deep as the bulbs need (usually 2–3 times the bulb height) and place the basket at the bottom. Add a little soil, set the bulbs point up and cover with soil so that the rim of the basket is buried.
Watering and feeding. Water after planting so the soil settles around the bulbs. In spring, when shoots appear, give a bulb fertiliser; the mesh does not hinder the flow of water or nutrients.
Care. After flowering let the leaves yellow, then lift the basket by its rim. Shake off the soil, let the bulbs dry in the shade and store them in the same basket until autumn planting.
Gardener's tip. Label each basket with the variety name so you always know what is planted where. Against voles add fine metal mesh under or over the basket: a plastic basket alone may not stop hungry rodents.
