Apie prekę
Siebold’s hosta (Hosta sieboldiana) is a large perennial with big, puckered blue-grey leaves.
The plant reaches 60–90 cm in height and 90–120 cm in width, forming a bold clump over the years. Pale lavender-white bell flowers appear in summer (June–July), and the thick leaves are less attractive to slugs than those of thin-leaved hostas.
Suited to shady borders, planting under trees, pond margins, woodland gardens and large containers; it combines well with ferns, astilbes and hellebores.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant from April to September (into warm soil, with regular watering). Choose a part-shaded or shaded spot sheltered from wind; space plants 70–90 cm. Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot, plant at the same depth as in the pot and water in well.
Care. Hostas grow best in moist, humus-rich soil; the blue waxy bloom lasts if the plant is not scorched by direct sun. Mulch the soil with 3–5 cm of compost or bark to hold moisture and suppress weeds.
Watering and feeding. Water generously and regularly, especially in dry summers; feed in spring with a slow-release fertiliser. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser and repeat in early summer if needed; do not feed late in the season.
Winter care and pruning. Fully hardy; leave the faded leaves as protection in autumn or clear them and mulch with compost. Cut off faded flower stems and divide the clump in spring every 4–5 years if needed.
