Tomato "Visa" (Solanum lycopersicum)
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Tomato "Visa" (Solanum lycopersicum) is an early, compact tomato variety suited to Estonian growing conditions, with red fruit that ripens relatively quickly. The seedling suits a greenhouse, a bed under film and a warm spot outdoors.
The plant is heat-loving and frost-tender, so it is planted out only after night frosts end, usually in late May. Compact growth makes care easy and it also fits a large container.
Some of the data is general for the tomato species (exact size of the variety depends on growing conditions) and should be adjusted to your site.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting. Plant seedlings in the greenhouse in early May and outdoors after night frosts (late May). Set them deep up to the seed leaves and space 40-50 cm apart.
Care. Tie the plant to a support and remove lower leaves. Watch for blight and ventilate the greenhouse.
Watering and feeding. Water infrequently but deeply, at the root and in the morning. Feed weekly with tomato fertiliser once the first flower trusses have formed.
End of season. Pick fruit before the first autumn frost and ripen it indoors. Tomato is grown as an annual.
