Use. Cut the branch at a slight angle just above a bud. Remove dead and diseased shoots at any time and live ones during dormancy or right after flowering, depending on the plant.
Care. After work clean the blades of sap and dirt, wipe them dry and apply a thin film of oil. When cutting diseased plants disinfect the blades with alcohol so the infection is not spread.
Safety. Cut only branches of a thickness suitable for secateurs, do not cut wire and do not twist the tool in the cut. Wear gloves and keep your fingers away from the blades.
Storage. Keep the pruning shears dry, closed and out of reach of children; do not leave them in the rain so the blades do not rust.
