Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant out after the last frost (late May–early June) in a sunny spot, 20–30 cm apart; tolerates poor soil.
Watering Water moderately, more in dry spells; avoid wetting the flowers to prevent grey mould.
Pruning Deadhead faded flowers for longer blooming; taller plants can be trimmed lightly.
Feeding and winter care Feed sparingly – too much fertiliser gives leaves rather than flowers. Once a month is enough. An annual that does not overwinter; seeds can be saved for next year.
