Advice from our agronomist
When to sow. Sow seeds directly in the ground from late April to May, once the soil has warmed to at least 5 °C; depth 3–5 cm, row spacing 30–40 cm.
Sowing. Soak seeds in water for 6–8 hours before sowing; space plants 5–7 cm apart in the row. Sow in batches 2–3 weeks apart to extend the harvest.
Care. This compact variety needs only a light support or twigs to stay upright; water generously during flowering and pod filling and keep the bed weed-free.
Harvest. Pick pods every 2–3 days while the peas are sweet and tender; overripe peas turn starchy. Regular picking encourages new pods.
