Planting. Plant in spring or autumn in a sunny or lightly shaded spot in loose, well-drained soil enriched with compost. Water in well and leave room for the mature size.
Care. Water in dry spells and mulch the soil. A general fertiliser can be given in spring. Remove faded flower heads and cut back dead stems in autumn or early spring.
