Thuja occidentalis 'Brobeck's Tower' is a narrow, strictly conical arborvitae, ideal for small gardens, courtyards and containers. It holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (RHS AGM). Buy Thuja 'Brobeck's Tower' in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
The foliage forms twisted fans of fresh green with a bronze tinge and keeps its colour well in winter. Growth is slow: in 10 years about 1.5–2 m tall and only 0.5–1 m wide, eventually up to 3 m.
It is very hardy (USDA zone 3, RHS H6) and suits all of Estonia. Grow it in sun or part shade in moist but well-drained soil. A fine specimen, entrance accent or narrow informal hedge.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant from spring to autumn in sun or part shade, sheltered from wind. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball and add compost or conifer soil. For a hedge space plants 50–60 cm apart.
Watering and feeding. Water regularly in the first year and in dry spells afterwards – thuja dislikes drying out. Feed in spring with a conifer fertiliser and stop nitrogen from August. Mulch the root zone.
Care. It needs almost no clipping, as it keeps its narrow shape naturally. Shorten any stray shoots in June if needed. Tie the crown loosely with twine for winter to prevent snow damage.
Gardener's tip. To avoid spring scorch, shade young plants with fleece in February–March and water thoroughly before the ground freezes. In a container use a pot of at least 30–40 L.
