Arborvitae Thuja occidentalis "Golden Globe" is a dwarf, slow-growing globe-shaped conifer with golden-yellow foliage. At maturity it reaches about 0.9–1.2 m in height and width.
The dense globe keeps its golden colour in summer and winter and needs little shearing to hold its shape. It suits rock gardens, front borders, containers, low edging and formal designs.
Winter hardy (USDA zones 3–4, to −35 °C), it prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. A golden thuja globe adds a bright accent among evergreens.

Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in full sun or light part shade in moist, well-drained soil; dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and keep the root collar level with the soil. Space plants at least 80–100 cm apart.
Care. Mulch with 5 cm of bark or wood chips to hold moisture and suppress weeds. The golden colour is most intense in full sun.
Watering and feeding. Water deeply once or twice a week in the first year and during dry spells afterwards. Feed in spring with a conifer fertiliser and stop feeding after August.
Winter and pruning. Mature plants overwinter without cover; shield young plants from spring sun and drying. Trim lightly in spring if needed and avoid cutting into old wood.
