Agronoma ieteikumi
Planting. Plant in spring or early autumn in sun or part shade, in moist well-drained soil. Space 60–80 cm apart for a hedge and allow at least 1.2 m for a specimen.
Care. Mulch with bark to hold moisture. The golden colour is strongest in full sun.
Watering and feeding. Water deeply once or twice a week in the first year and in dry spells later; do not let the soil stay constantly wet. Feed in spring with a conifer fertiliser.
Winter and pruning. Shield young plants from spring sun and winter drying. If needed, trim new growth in late June and avoid heavy cuts into old wood.
