Apie prekę
Thuja occidentalis "Little Giant" (eastern arborvitae) is a dense, globe-shaped dwarf evergreen conifer that slowly grows to about 1–1.5 m tall and as wide. It is one of the most popular globe-form arborvitae.
The dark green, scale-like foliage is dense and even, taking on a slight bronze tint in winter. The cultivar keeps its shape without clipping and is very hardy.
Use it for low borders, bed edging, rock gardens, containers and formal plantings. It likes sun to part shade and moist soil.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant in April–May or in September while the soil is warm. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, mix with compost; the soil should be moist yet well drained; keep the root collar level with the ground. Space plants 0.8–1 m. Site: sun or part shade.
Care. In the first two years never let the soil dry out; a 5–7 cm layer of bark mulch keeps moisture in and suppresses weeds. Hoe gently because the roots are shallow.
Watering and feeding. In dry weather water once a week (10–15 litres per plant). Feed in spring with a conifer fertiliser containing magnesium and stop feeding after July.
Winter care and pruning. Fully hardy. Loosely tie the branches with twine against heavy snow; hares may nibble young plants. No pruning is needed; if wished, lightly shorten new growth in June.
