Thuja occidentalis "Wareana Lutescens" is a cultivar of eastern arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis), a thuja with a dense conical habit and yellowish-green foliage. Buy thuja "Wareana Lutescens" in Estonia from the ALLIKASILM nursery.
It has a dense, broadly conical to pyramidal crown and yellow-green scale-like foliage that takes on golden and bronze tones in winter. It grows slowly.
Use it as a specimen, in groups and conifer plantings where the light foliage contrasts with darker plants, or as a lower hedge.

Agronomo patarimai
Planting. Plant in sun or partial shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Container plants can be planted from spring to autumn; make the hole wider than the root ball and keep the root collar level with the soil.
Watering and feeding. Water regularly in the first year and generously in dry spells – thuja does not tolerate dry roots. Feed with conifer fertiliser in spring and stop nitrogen from midsummer; mulch keeps the soil moist.
Care. Trim in early or mid-summer if needed. Remove dead shoots and protect the plant from both drought and waterlogging.
Overwintering. Eastern arborvitae is fully hardy in Estonia. Shade young plants from the late-winter sun with fleece or spruce branches for the first winters and water well in autumn before the ground freezes.
